Bottomless Box Breath.MP4

Here is the science behind the Bottomless Box Breath:  When we exhale, our heart beats slower than when we inhale.

So we have an opportunity to increase calm in our mind-body when we spend more time exhaling than inhaling.  This is why the Bottomless Box is useful - we breathe in to a comfortable fullness in the lungs, briefly hold the air gently at the top, then release out the nose slowly and calmly for as long as possible.

Bottomless Box is a fantastic tool because it leaves the exhale open-ended.  There are no numbers to follow, just space to allow your exhale to be as comfortable and expansive as it wants to be.

Remember:  Where the body goes, the mind must follow. If you calm your physiology, your mind will calm as well.
